What is Virtual Cyber Insurance Management, or vCIM?
Virtual Cyber Insurance Management is UKON's cyber practice operating system for MSPs. Since MSPs cannot legally sell insurance, a licensed Virtual Cyber Insurance Manager runs the client conversation and places coverage as a co-branded partner to the MSP.
What is the difference between CPL and vCIM?
Cyber Practice Leadership is built for agencies, which are licensed to sell insurance directly. vCIM is built for MSPs, which are not licensed and need a partner to place coverage on their behalf. Both run on the same underlying system.
What does a Cyber Practice cost?
Nothing upfront. UKON earns a commission when a policy binds. There's no software fee, no retainer, and no minimum book or client base size.
How does an MSP earn revenue if it can't sell cyber insurance?
An MSP earns through the security gaps its clients' cyber applications reveal. Every gap Cornelius flags, missing MFA, no EDR, becomes a security upgrade the MSP sells and bills directly. That revenue is separate from any insurance commission and requires no license.
Will clients know UKON is involved?
It depends on the operating system. Agency clients don't see UKON at all, since every communication is white-labeled and sent from the agency's own domain. MSP clients do see UKON, since every touchpoint is co-branded alongside the MSP's name.
What happens to accounts UKON can't cover?
Every account gets a documented outcome. It ends bound, or it ends declined in writing, which protects the agency or MSP from E&O exposure if that client is breached later.
Is UKON a wholesaler or a broker?
UKON operates as a wholesaler in its carrier relationships, reaching more than 50 markets that most retail agencies and MSPs can't access directly.
